Tax Credit Casualties tend to have lower incomes and bigger Tax Credit overpayment horror stories in common. But, apart from that, we are so diverse and different that we could really use this to our advantage.
To campaign, we don't necessarily have to scale huge buildings in Marvel comic costumes, march in our millions or anything as inconvenient as that. We're not saying that we won't, because anything peaceful goes! But we can campaign very effectively from our armchairs, at our PCs, or in some other imaginative and innovative way.
So what do you know, and what are you good at?
Got a law degree? Have contacts in the legal world? OK, you can help us root out the best pro bono lawyers and access legal aid so that we can pursue a Class Action or Judicial Review.
Can you write, perform, draw, sing, rap etc.? Something different could really grab the public, media and political eye. Is YouTube just crying out for your video? Are you a car booter? Any donations are always welcome, even a couple of pounds from the sale of just one of your items!
Maybe you're brilliant on social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, Buzz or Bebo? Could you take the TCC campaign onto one of them, and help us to get a huge following that just keeps on spreading and getting bigger? Have you got your own website or blog, and would you be willing to link to this site?
Whatever your skills, whoever you know, there will be something you can do to help us to help both you and everyone else abused by this awful system.

Who We Are: Tax Credit Casualties (TCC) is a voluntary, unfunded, not for profit UK organisation run by members for members. We offer free advice on how to dispute unfair overpayments based on our own experiences, the experiences of other claimants and HMRC guidelines.
Our Standards: TCC was established to provide advice and guidance on disputing recovery of non-fraudulent tax credit overpayments, and to lobby for fundamental change on the inbuilt flaws and inequalities of the tax credit system. TCC operate in a professional manner and endeavour to give accurate and appropriate advice based on information provided by members. TCC endeavour to respond to members as quickly and efficiently as possible, given the voluntary nature of the organisation and limited resources available. TCC is an inclusive organisation and will treat all members in a fair and equitable manner.
