TCC NEEDS "When we accept tough jobs as a challenge, and wade into them with joy and enthusiasm, miracles can happen." Arland Gilbert
Now, more than ever, we need as many active volunteers as we can get. Our reputation, and the use overpayment victims, the media and politicians are making of us is all rapidly increasing. We need to continue to provide the lifeline and level of support we have been doing, while we continue to intensify our campaign. There are no specific vacancies at the moment - but if you would like to join us, please get in touch. Go to our contacts page. Voluntary work As we are entirely voluntary staffed and an unfunded organisation we are not able to offer any wages for our posts. The main active volunteers meet the expenses of hosting the website and forum, advertising, printing, travel and other cost themselves. Donations to TCC are currently spent on the larger costs such as venue hire for meetings etc.
Expenses involved Some of the roles below would involve a small cost to the post holder: i.e. postage, call costs etc., and if you are interested, but don’t feel you can meet the out of pocket expenses, please let us know (no personal or financial questions will be asked). Donations are starting to trickle in now, and it would be better if they went towards helping someone to help us, rather than losing out on a useful member of the group because of too tight a budget. Who is suitable? If you are not sure if the post would suit you, just get in contact to discuss it a bit more. We would be happy to define roles, or maybe change things around if needed. Don’t be shy or unsure, we are not looking for executive manager types, we are looking for friendly, capable and helpful people - just like you ! Rewards Why do it? We all need each other to win this fight. Remember when you needed us? From helping victims stave off poverty, to letting them know that they are actually not alone. The grateful e-mails and calls come in thick and fast around here; so do the successes we have helping people to fight their cases, and the policy reforms we have already helped achieve. Remember TCC are people just like you. We always have, and will continue to, work with what we have got because we all have our strengths and talents and between us we have all that we need to beat HMRC and Gordon Brown. "Never doubt that a small group of concerned people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead [Top] |
