Welcome to our 'Letter of the Week' ! This is where we have ready prepared letters for you to download and send. Once you've got the letter in your word processor, just edit it to fit your circumstances, print and sign, then pop it in an envelope to give our 'chosen one' a bigger mailbag - and hopefully a bigger headache! Whose letter will be published next week? The first printable one that is sent to the Webmaster wins - there is usually something topical in the news that can be used as a starting point. Let's face it - when Tax Credits are the target, we can never run out of ammunition! Friday 15 August 2008 We are asking everyone who visits this website to download and send this letter to your MP. Without you, we don't have a campaign ... This 'weeks' letter is from Ali and Alan, for you to print and send to your MP. If you don't already know, you can find your MP here. Saturday 21 June 2008 Following the launch of 'Voices of the Victims' on 9th June, it is very important that we try to get as many MPs as possible on our side. A letter to your MP from you carries a lot more importance than one from TCC, and Sarah has kindly written one for you to send. We are asking everyone who visits this website to download and send this letter to your MP. Without you, we don't have a campaign ... Download Letter to MP: 'Voices of the Victims' If you need to find out who your MP is, or their address, click here. Monday 31 March 2008 This weeks (?!) letter comes from a young man called Zach. It's a well written and powerful letter meant for none other than our esteemed Prime Minister, Gordon Brown. Thank you, Zach. Friday 22 February 2008 Another letter for your MP this week, kindly sent in by Sarah. (OK, so it's been a fortnight! Looks like we're slowly building up to one letter a week!!) HMRC are claiming accuracy of 97% in processing payments. Rather than letting them get away with telling porkies, maybe we should let them know that we're not daft. In all fairness, is it really HMRC's fault that they follow the Government example of fudging figures to make themselves look better? It doesn't make the overpayment problem go away though ..... Here's this weeks offering to send to your MP. If you need to find out who your MP is, click here. Thursday 7 February 2008 This weeks letter has been sent to us by a nice lady called Diana, one of our Forum members. Diana writes:
Download the version for overpayment victims. Download the version for victims who have had their payments stopped. If you need to find out who your MP is, click here. Thank you, Diana, for your excellent letters and for helping other overpayment casualties. |

Please note that we are not tax professionals and are working on a voluntary basis, unpaid, in our ‘free time’. Between us, we have a lot of experience and knowledge in this area, gained over the last few years of supporting victims and helping them fight for justice and their rights. But legislation, operating practice and individual cases change all the time. While we aim to be professional and accurate at all times, please understand the circumstances we are working under, and accept our support, guidance and information in the sprit it is offered; goodwill and camaraderie.
